SOUP was a theatrical multicultural exploration of the ways we have of coping with grief. Created through a non-hierarchical collaborative process, the piece was an immersive experience, paired with verbatim theatre.

Sparked by the myth of Meng Po, our exploration was paired with the live cocking of a soup on stage. The immersive theatrical experience was anchored by the use of items, that linked our verbatim soundscape of grief with objects that were progressively packed away. In a reincarnation of the space we inhabited, some other boxes were being unpacked.
